Lakewood Periodontics was established in 1992. Dr. Clifford Thomas and his staff have been together for many years and they strive to create an atmosphere that is at the same time family oriented and professional. They like to "keep it light," as periodontal treatment can be stressful for the patient. Make no mistake, though, their efforts are solely aimed at producing outstanding results. The patient's well being is the ultimate concern. They work tirelessly to educate and to direct the patient's efforts so that teeth can be maintained for a life time.
Dr. Thomas was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and received a B.S. in Biology in 1982. He went on to the University of Michigan Dental School in Ann Arbor and received a D.D.S., in 1987. Upon graduation from dental school Dr. Thomas joined the U.S. Navy and spent 3 years as a Navy dentist, honing his skills on unsuspecting Navy recruits. In 1990 Dr. Thomas returned to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and began his specialty training in periodontics, obtaining a Masters of Science in Periodontics. He relocated to Lakewood, Ohio in 1992 and has been a member of the area's dental and periodontal community ever since.
